This past week I received two more dink letters. One from the a summer clerkship position with Justice McCoy of the Texas 2nd Court of Appeals. The other from the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution. I haven't heard from the U.S. Army JAG Corps except that my application was incomplete. The remaining 6 internship applications are up in the air (I managed to throw out two more applications to the U.S. Trade Representative Office and U.S. Department of Commerce before spring break). Uncertainty is not a good sign.
At this point, I'm gearing up for round two of cover letter writing and resume sending. I'm preparing shotgun resumes to every Texas Wesleyan J.D. graduate outside of Texas. There's 57 of us outside the Lone Star State, but only 5 in the Washington, D.C., area. Although I should consider Phoenix, AZ, and Seattle, WA. Surprisingly there are a handful of Wesleyan Law School alums in Florida. This is surprising because Florida bar exam is one of the hardest. Morever, since Florida doesn't waive in bar admissions from other states, you have no choice but to sit in for the Florida bar. Crap, I need more stamps.
One other thing. If anyone knows of an opening this summer for a summer clerk or intern, could you forward my resume to the firm?
