Congratulations Jack! Hope the internship goes well and you gain some valuable experience. Unpaid, eh? That sucks. But nothing beats the one-liner that will now be on your resumé (appeals court, big stuff). That's cool. I wonder that, since the judge assigned work to be done on the first day, if you guys are going to get some real intellectual steamwork. Hope so (or... hope not?). Anyhow, way to go!

I'm going to put in 80 hours this summer as an intern/volunteer at the DA's Civil Division's Protective Order Unit next to the court house. It's not the greatest legal work nor the most sexy, but I suppose it's better than my zero experience in any field of law. It oughtta' be interesting and something to learn from.
